Construction Inspector
Role Overview:
We ARE seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to support supervision and enforcement activities across a wide range of construction projects in the Netherlands. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance, safety, and quality throughout the construction lifecycle, while acting as a key point of contact between municipalities, contractors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform supervision and inspection of construction projects to ensure compliance with permits and regulations.
- Review construction applications and assess structural safety of projects.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety, environmental safety, accessibility, and livability standards.
- Carry out site inspections and monitor ongoing works across small to large-scale projects.
- Act as the main liaison between municipalities, contractors, and local stakeholders.
- Balance stakeholder interests and provide practical, solution-oriented recommendations.
- Support the development and improvement of supervision and enforcement processes.
- Mentor junior inspectors and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Participate in complex and large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Support sustainability initiatives, including industrial transition programs when required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Construction Inspector or Site Supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of construction regulations and legislation (e.g., Omgevingswet).
- Experience working on complex, multi-stakeholder construction projects.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Good digital skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Additional Info:
Not open to freelancers (ZZP).
Contractors must provide their own laptop and phone.
Open to senior and mid-level profiles.
Involvement in a variety of projects, including large infrastructure and industrial developments.
Working hours: 36/per week
Contract: Payroll
Location: Zaandam, Netherlands (with projects across North Holland & Utrecht)
Start Date: ASAP
