Data Engineer
We ARE Renewables is looking for a Data Engineer for one of our clients in the energy sector.
As a data engineer, you play an important role in this. You design, build, and manage robust data pipelines that help our organization steer better and faster. You work closely with colleagues in an Agile environment, translate complex information needs into high-quality data products, and ensure that everything complies with best practices and security & architecture guidelines.
Task and Responsibilities
You will be part of the Data Delivery Market team within the Market department. This department is responsible for the correct settlement of energy flows between customers, market parties, and the client. Market operates according to uniform sector processes and relies on reliable metering data and connection information from various chains. Through your work, you contribute to a free energy market and the energy transition.
Key Requirements
- You have a higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level and at least 4 years of demonstrable experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.
- You have demonstrable experience developing ELT/ETL processes with SQL and using
version control (Git). - You have experience with a modern data stack, such as Delta Lake, Databricks, DBT, or Fabric, preferably within the Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
- You can model data according to 3NF and dimensionally (Kimball).
- You have experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Preferably, you have experience with Python, API connections, ASB queues, flat files
, and orchestration tools such as Airflow. - You have experience performing management and operational tasks, such as
monitoring data processes, resolving disruptions, and implementing changes in
a controlled manner. - You have a good command of the Dutch language, both written and spoken (level B2).
